Univ.-Prof. Dr. Maximilian Moser
Univ. Dr. Maximilian Moser was born in 1956 and is Professor of Physiology at the Medical University of Graz, was Visiting Professor for Biological Psychology at the University of Klagenfurt and Guest Lecturer at the National Cardiovascular Research Center in Japan. In 1999 he founded the Joanneum Research Institute for non-invasive diagnostics in Weiz, Austria.
Since 2010, this institute works as "Human Research Institute" (HRI) at the same location. The research focuses on the study of those factors and conditions that make and keep the organism healthy.
As project manager, Maximilian Moser has led several medical space projects in the space station MIR, i.a. the longest manned flight of spaceflight history. The knowledge gained there, has since flowed into numerous projects in clinical medicine as well as applied health research.
